Dear Reader,
As I find myself here for the final few times, I feel a strong sense of accomplishment. After four challenging years filled with both many highs and lows, I’ve reached the final stretch of my high school journey. Along the way, I’ve grown and learned so much. Not only through my classes, but through the people I’ve met. While I value everything this experience has given me, I’m excited to move forward to Ohio University and embrace the new opportunities ahead. Learning to accept and embrace growth is an important part of that journey.
To incoming freshmen and current students, my advice is simple, but important. Be kind and inclusive to everyone. Building connections can not only improve your own experience, but also make a meaningful difference in someone else’s. Also, always give your best effort, even on the days when it feels difficult. Challenging yourself is how you improve and grow. Don’t be afraid to make mistakes, they’re part of the process.
