On April 25, BBHHS students traded classrooms for fossils and formal wear at this year’s prom, held at the Cleveland Museum of Natural History. Juniors, seniors, and many guests filled the museum for a night of dancing, photos, food, and unforgettable memories surrounded by dinosaur exhibits and museum galleries.
One of the most talked-about parts of the night was the venue itself. Students had the opportunity to walk through exhibits, take photos with dinosaur skeletons, and explore parts of the museum while spending time with friends. Senior Alex Emrick said his favorite part of the night was “the venue because it was very open and I got to see the dinos.”
Many students agreed that the museum created a unique atmosphere compared to a traditional venue. Sydney Gerber thought the venue was large enough for everyone and enjoyed being able to “walk around the exhibits.” However, she also mentioned that the setup could have been improved because “there wasn’t enough room for the dance floor.”
The dance floor became another big discussion point of the evening. While students enjoyed the music and energy from the DJ, some felt crowded once everyone gathered to dance. Jeffery Wurtz rated the venue a “7 out of 10,” saying it “could have been a 10, but the mosh pit got botched.” Claire Pilarski added that she would like to see “a bigger dance floor” at future proms because there was “barely any room for all of us.”
Food was also a highlight of the night. Sabrina Chatal, who attended prom last year as well, said this year’s food was “a lot better and more fresh.” She noted that “fresh food was coming out every 10 minutes,” which many students appreciated throughout the evening.
Although students enjoyed the experience overall, some wished prom had been held later in the spring season. Lilija DeCaria said she would rather have prom in May because “the weather is nicer.” Abby Pignatello agreed, saying she would change the timing of prom to later in the spring for “better warmer weather.”
For seniors who attended last year’s prom, many noticed improvements in the venue space. Chatal said this year’s location was better because “there was more open space,” allowing students to move around more comfortably and explore the museum.
Despite a few complaints about crowding on the dance floor, BBHHS Prom 2026 gave students a memorable night filled with music, laughter, and unique experiences. Between dancing with friends and taking pictures next to dinosaur fossils, this year’s prom stood out as one of the most creative and exciting school events of the year.
