Bees Varsity Softball has had an impeccable season. Many are left wondering how far they will go before they are done.
The girls current record is 12-1 and while their first game of the season against North Royalton was a 0-4 loss, they are currently maintaining a 12-game winning streak. They’ve had many impressive performances throughout the season such as their 18-8 game against Brunswick, their 15-0 game against Wadsworth, and their 16-7 game against Twinsburg.
With the team excelling as a whole, there have also been individual achievements worth noting such as the record-breaking work of junior Rowan Weber. On April 11, Weber tied the school’s record for most career home runs at 17, and she quickly went on to break the record, having 19 home runs to call her own.
On April 30, the Bees celebrated their three seniors, Gracie Dunbar, Gianna Roth, and Camryn Bibbo, in their senior night game against Nordonia, which they won 9-5. All three girls have been playing softball for 12 years, and this win was a great way to celebrate the effort they have put into the sport.
Their regular season is coming soon to an end as they face the Wadsworth Varsity Grizzlies and the Warren G. Harding Raiders on Friday, May 16 and Tuesday, May 20. Both games will be at home on the Brecksville field and will begin at 5 p.m. Consider coming to root them onto a win!
