Dear Reader,
As I walk the halls this year for the last time, I find myself noticing the little things more than ever and remembering the memories that I have made over these past four years.
The last four years have been an amazing gift. I’m deeply grateful for every opportunity I’ve had, particularly in my favorite extracurriculars like Choir, Drama Club, Music-in-Motion, and, of course, the HyBreeze.
Although I’m excited to take my next steps, I couldn’t have gone this far without my best friends. Their constant support, laughter, and encouragement have been a source of strength throughout every challenge. I’m beyond grateful for the memories we’ve created and for the bond we share.
To the underclassmen: I know it sounds cliché, but please don’t wish this time away. Don’t rush to grow up. Go to the football games, even if you don’t like football. Talk to the kid sitting alone. Get involved and try new things, even if they are out of your comfort zone. Make memories – big ones, small ones, even the ones that seem boring now. One day, you’ll look back and realize those were the best parts.
Take pictures. Say thank you to your teachers. Be kind. And remember that high school isn’t just a stepping stone; it’s a chapter worth savoring.
Signing off,
Nicola Yaussy
