Dear Reader,
In my experience, high school was like a roller coaster. There were days that were full of excitement and random events that came out of nowhere; there were days that were completely flat, and I was just waiting for something to happen. When I first came to BBHHS, I assumed that every second of my four years here was going to be excruciatingly difficult, but I learned very quickly that the assumptions I made were wrong. The teachers always encouraged me to ask questions, and told me it was okay not to know something. My friends were always there for me whenever I was tired, and we’d crack jokes and laugh all the time. I’m thankful for the people I had around me as they’ve lifted me up when it was hard to do so myself. I’m also thankful for the experience of high school as it gave me the opportunity to grow as a person with everyone I’ve met along the way.
My advice to freshmen is to enjoy every second that’s worth enjoying and to relax just as hard as you work. Lastly, surround yourself with the people that make you happy. You don’t need a posse, just a few rock-solid friends that have your back.
