The lady Bees Lacrosse season wrapped up their regular season on Thursday, May 9, with varsity defeating Roosevelt at their place, 14-2. The girls ended the season with a record of 11-7. The lady Bees are preparing to head off to playoffs.
Kasaundra Pindor, junior, says, “We think we will make it to round 2 of the playoffs, but are hoping for a 3rd round win.”
Pindor also says, “Some of the big contributors this season for the girls are Ava Petros and Gabby Svoboda, because they really create a strong base for our defense. Coach relies a lot on them and will always switch things up about what they should do and they always handle it so well. Also, I believe the freshman have been big contributors to the team as two of our varsity starters are freshman, Jayla Collard and Cate Gutridge.
Talah Ahalao, junior says, “They have changed the dynamic and really prove to do amazing things at such a young age.”
Since the beginning of the season, these girls have worked hard to improve their game. Pindor says, “We have gained a lot better understanding of the field, and because we’ve played almost a whole season, we know how each other plays and the work we do on the field is a lot more smooth.”
Ahalao adds, “The team has overall improved with being able to work together. People have learned how to be cooperative and what each person’s strength and weaknesses are. It has overall created a better relationship of those on the team.”
Ahalao and Pindor close with saying, The team has overall improved with being able to work together, which as created better relationships of those on the team.”
