Students of BBHHS are embarking on a 12-day trip of a lifetime to see the ancient wonders of Italy. The trip is set to take off on June 18, 2025, returning on June 29. Thus far, there are already 25 people signed up to go.
The trip price is approximately $5579 and it includes all transportation including flights and ground transportation. It also includes multiple professional tours, Italian tour guides, hotel accommodations with a private bathroom, breakfast and dinner every day.
This trip will be enjoyable for all that attend, and can be a wonderful experience whether it be from learning or understanding more landmarks, or just being able to witness the beautiful landscape and architecture.
With a chance to visit historically important landmarks such as Venice, Rome, Florence, Assisi, and Capri, students have the opportunity to receive academic credits while on the trip. Students will also be able to use their phones on the trip; however, to text people, they’ll need to use “WhatsApp” to contact them across seas.
Payment plan
There are a few options to pay for the trip. It can be paid in full or it can be on a monthly payment plan.
Venice
The time in Venice will be a 2-4 day trip, where you will experience the canals riding on a gondola along the river observing the beautiful landscapes and structures of architecture, the polished marble palazzos, and the intricate Venetian masks.
Florence
The 4-6 days spent here will be used to study history with an expert tour local guide. Students will have the opportunity to experience the Medici dynasty, which is a banking family and political dynasty. The city is home to some of the greatest artists from 1300-1600, and houses the world-famous Duomo, built with beautiful architecture, which is filled with past and present art.
Rome
The Rome trip will last 6-9 days. This trip will focus on the history of the many roads flowing through Rome. Students will visit the silent Sistine Chapel, where many important people meet for important ceremonies; St. Peter’s Basilica seen as the holiest sight for Christianity and Catholic tradition; and walk through the same places as Julius Caesar and gladiators. Finally, they will see the famous, Trevi fountain.
Additional Information
Everyone in high school next year will be able to attend, this includes current eighth graders, but not current seniors. To earn the credits, students will have to talk to EF Tours for them to complete an application. See Mrs. Ferrante in room 241 for more details.
