Taylor’s Swift Era’s Tour in the U.S. has concluded for now, but the aftermath of it is a broken record and “enchanted”.
The New York Times reports, “By the end of the full world tour, which is booked with 146 stadium dates well into 2024, Swift’s sales could reach $1.4 billion or more — exceeding Elton John’s $939 million for his multiyear farewell tour, the current record-holder” (Sisaro).
The tour is a smashing success, and beating Elton John is truly an honor!
That’s not even all of it; Swift extends her United States tour into 2024 too! Meghan McCafferty, a senior at Brecksville-Broadview Heights High School, is excited about the second US tour, saying, “I thought for the longest time that I would never see the Eras tour. So, when she announced the second US 2024 leg, I was determined to get those tickets.”
McCafferty successfully got tickets to see Swift’s Tour on November 3rd, 2023 in Indianapolis.
In addition to the enchanted experience, Elise Miller, a senior at Brecksville-Broadview Heights High School, attended the tour in Pittsburgh on June 17th.
Miller claims that the tour has a great experience overall; however, there were memories made that will never be let go.
Miller says, “One of my core memories from the Eras Tour was listening to the sound check on the way to get merch, it was so exciting to know we would be there that night. Another core memory was trading friendship bracelets with everyone after making them prior to the show and during the car ride. Everyone was so sweet and came up with really unique ideas.”
Miller shares her favorite songs of the tour, “Don’t Blame Me”, “Enchanted”, “Betty”, “August”, and lastly, “Willow”.
Amelie Russo, junior at Brecksville-Broadview Heights High School has gone to The Era’s Tour twice on June 3rd in Chicago, and July 1st in Cincinnati and seeing the tour twice must’ve been a real honor. “Taylor’s set is very consistent from show to show but for the audience, it feels so different. The biggest difference between my two shows was the surprise song section. My second show was the only show, so far, to get three surprise songs, instead of her usual two. But in total, the show was very consistent and so exciting both times!”
Amelia Russo reports her surprise songs, “You All Over Me”, “I Don’t Want To Live Forever”, “Ivy”, “I Miss You, I’m Sorry”, & “Call It What You Want”.
Whilst all this tour may seem glorious, it does have its downsides. A problem with this tour seemed to be getting tickets, according to all the interviewees.
Miller says, “I definitely had problems with Ticketmaster. The queue for tickets was painfully long and after we had gotten in we would click on seats to check out only for them to disappear from our cart. As the queue seemed to go on for longer and longer we definitely worried we weren’t going to get tickets; however, I’m so glad we were able to get them and everything worked out in the end.”
These problems have not been fixed, but luckily people got tickets to see the marvelous show.
Overall, Russo and Miller have had an overall positive experience, and cannot wait to hear from McCafferty about hers!
Taylor Swift, you did it again.
